The new rec center climbing gym represents two years of TCC advocacy that helped double its size and ensure its quality—and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s what else we’ve been up to in the past year.

Advocacy

Rec Center Climbing Gym

In addition to helping double the size of the new climbing gym, we advocated for the retention of an independent climbing gym consultant to ensure the gym’s overall quality.

Here’s a timeline of our advocacy.

JHMR Via Ferrata

We worked with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to minimize the impact of a via ferrata system on climbing in the Corbet’s area.

Anchors in the Wilderness

We developed a comprehensive response to the National Park Service and US Forest Service Wilderness draft climbing management plans.

Stewardship

CAM Project

We replaced suspect hardware at Blacktail Butte, the Hoback Shield and Rodeo Wall as part of our ongoing Climbing Area Modernization (CAM) Project.

Here’s what we’ve done at Blacktail Butte and Rodeo Wall.

Local Hero

We honored Bridger-Teton National Forest Recreation Manager Linda Merigliano for 30 years of service with our inaugural Local Hero Award.
