Jackson Hole’s Weekly Bouldering Series Expands Emphasis on Live Music and Community
JACKSON, WY — The Teton Climbers’ Coalition is pleased to announce the return of the Town Pump summer bouldering series for its 11th annual season. Presented by Four Pines Physical Therapy and Teton Mountaineering, the Town Pump will run every Tuesday evening from 6:00–8:00 p.m., May 19 through August 11, 2026 at the Teton Boulder Park in Jackson, Wyoming.
First launched in the summer of 2015 following the departure of The Enclosure — Jackson’s only climbing gym at the time — the Town Pump was originally envisioned as a way to rebuild the climbing community’s social fabric during the summer months. Without the gym serving as a gathering place, the series created a way for climbers and community members to connect on summer evenings.
Over the past decade, the Town Pump has evolved into Jackson Hole’s premier summer climbing event: a weekly gathering that blends climbing, music, and community in the heart of the Tetons.
While the event remains rooted in climbing, organizers say the 2026 season will place an even greater emphasis on live music and atmosphere, building on the Town Pump’s longstanding reputation as a fun-forward, high-energy event with “shockingly little to do with competition.”
“This has always been about creating a space where people can come together outdoors on summer evenings,” said Christian Beckwith. “The climbing is the anchor, but the real magic of the Pump is the community that forms around it — the music, the conversations, the energy in the park, and the mix of longtime locals, visiting climbers, families, and first-timers all sharing the same space.”
The 2026 season opens May 19 with DJ Capella spinning “The Funky Cold Medina,” followed by DJ Lauren Chase’s house music set on May 26 and DJ Scutty’s “boots and cats” set on June 2. Additional DJs and live music programming will continue throughout the summer.
Weekly raffle prizes, sponsor giveaways, and community activations will again accompany each event.
The Town Pump is open to climbers of all ages and abilities, from experienced climbers to those trying outdoor bouldering for the first time. Proceeds from the event help underwrite the Teton Climbers’ Coalition stewardship and educational activities.
