The TCC has received a $5,000 grant from Ford’s Bronco Wild Fund to help its stewardship initiatives, including its Climbing Area Modernization (CAM) Program.
The Bronco Wild Fund is a mission with a deep respect for our public lands – and an unbridled commitment to helping those lands continue to be a world of wonder for all.
Toward that purpose, the Bronco Wild Fund is teaming up with like-minded collaborators: agencies, organizations and everyday heroes devoted to keeping the great outdoors great.
A portion of the profits from every Ford Bronco sold goes directly to Bronco Wild Fund collaborator initiatives, which is focused on building a legacy of access, preservation and stewardship from the ground up.
The TCC applied for the grant to help underwrite its CAM Project, a multi-year project to monitor, inspect and replace climbing hardware at climbing areas throughout the Jackson Hole area in order to ensure a safe climbing experience for this and future generations.
The grant will help underwrite the following:
- Initiation, implementation of the Climbing Area Modernization (CAM) Project to monitor, inspect and replace aging bolts throughout the Jackson Hole area
- Development of “best practices” guideline to inform new route development, hardware replacement strategies
- Adopt-A-Crag Stewardship Projects to perform erosion control, base area maintenance and trail work at local climbing areas
- Community education and outreach through various engagement efforts such as AlpinFilm
- Maintenance, installation and repair of signage at local crags
We are so excited to be a recipient of a Bronco Wild Fund grant to support AlpinFilm and the CAM project. Motivated by a commitment to our public lands, Ford Bronco is giving back and we are grateful for their support of our local climbing community and the Teton ecosystem.
