We advocate, steward and engage on behalf of Teton climbers.

With spring (summer?!?) now officially upon us, le With spring (summer?!?) now officially upon us, let's take a moment to appreciate the magnificent new paint job adorning the boulders at the Teton Boulder Park.

Applied at the end of last autumn, the speckled gray and white custom paint job comes complete with dashes of yellow — about as nice an approximation of lichen-flecked Teton gneiss as you could hope to find outside of the Tetons themselves.

Even better, Chris Owen managed to re-set the park with some truly great problems before winter settled in.

The Boulder Park is singular: a public climbing installation that inspires today's climbers, honors the pioneers and pays tribute to those we've lost to the mountains, all at the same time.

Thank you, @tetonparksandrec, for your ongoing stewardship, and a paint job very well done indeed.
"Supporting The Teton Climbers' Coalition is a no‑ "Supporting The Teton Climbers' Coalition is a no‑brainer. I really appreciate all the hard work the TCC is putting in. Life gets busy and I don’t always have the time or energy to advocate for necessary changes. By supporting the TCC, I’m confident the issues that need attention are being addressed."—TCC Founding Member Ryan Burke

What Teton climber inspires you the most?
"Although he died in an avalanche more than a decade ago, my all-time climbing mentor in the Tetons will always be Jarad Spackman. I think of his ethos every time I step foot on Teton soil. He inspired me to push my limits and always find a reason to laugh afterward. Jarad is who I aspire to emulate."

Best adventure in the Tetons?
"After Jarad's death, I spread his ashes on 50 different summits that traversed the entire Teton skyline in order to honor his impact. I started on Ranger Peak and ended on Teton Pass seven days later. This is my favorite Teton adventure because it reminds me to say hello to Jarad's effervescent power every time I'm near a Teton peak."

"The Tetons are where I learned to climb, ski, and "The Tetons are where I learned to climb, ski, and navigate the mountains, among many other firsts. Supporting the TCC felt like a natural way for me to give back to the landscape and community that has given me so much."—TCC Founding Member Crista Valentino

Started climbing in: 2012
Favorite climb in the Tetons: Petzoldt Route on the Grand Teton
First climb in the Tetons: Teewinot. And I was grossly unprepared.
Best adventure she has had in the Tetons: Spending the night in an unplanned bivy in the Gunsight Notch. Maybe not the best adventure – but definitely the most memorable.
One small lesson the Tetons taught her the hard way: Dollar store tinfoil is no match for a climbing pack.
First climbing partners in the Tetons: Hadden Goodman and Emily Bodner
One piece of climbing gear she never leaves behind: Headlamp

Their successful lobbying effort resulted in a bigger climbing gym, but my enthusiasm really surged when they led the charge to improve the beat-down user trail to Delta Lake in Grand Teton National Park, something that had for many years degraded to a condition that hurt the eyes and damped the spirits.

Climbing has also been an important part of my healing and personal growth, and supporting an organization that works to protect access, foster community, and make climbing more inclusive is a way I can give back to a place that has given me so much.
