AlpinFilm Local Hero Award

The Local Hero Award honors the people who make climbing stronger in the Tetons. These are the mentors, builders, organizers, and advocates who put in the work to keep our community thriving. Their efforts often happen quietly, yet their impact reaches far.

This award recognizes someone whose actions show care for both people and place. Past recipients have led cleanups, improved access, protected public lands, and supported the next generation of climbers. Each year’s honoree reminds us that community is built from steady, generous effort.

Nominations are open to everyone. If you know someone who gives their time, knowledge, or heart to this community, we want to hear about them.
