The Teton Climbers Coalition is seeking a passionate, collaborative leader to serve as its next Executive Director.
Since its founding in 2020, the TCC has grown into the voice for climbers throughout the Tetons, advancing stewardship, advocacy, education, and community engagement. In just six years, the organization has helped establish the Teton County Recreation Center climbing gym, launched AlpinFilm – Jackson Hole’s Mountain Film Festival, developed the Safe Climbing Initiative instructional program, created the Women’s Grand Scholarship, organized the annual Town Pump bouldering competition, led the Climbing Area Modernization rebolting project, and introduced a membership program that continues to strengthen community support.
Now, the TCC is looking for an Executive Director to build on that momentum and help guide the organization into its next chapter.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization, overseeing fundraising, program implementation, communications, partnerships, and organizational growth. The position begins as a half-time role (20 hours per week), with the opportunity to expand to full-time as the organization’s programs and fundraising capacity grow.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with strong leadership skills, experience managing projects or programs, and a passion for climbing, conservation, and community. Experience working with nonprofits, boards of directors, fundraising, and outdoor recreation is preferred.
Position Highlights
- Half-time (20 hours/week)
- Salary: $40,000 annually
- Paid holidays and time off
- Merit increases or bonuses based on organizational performance and fundraising
Applications should include a cover letter and résumé and be submitted to TCC Board Chair Sheila Walsh Reddy at sheilawalshreddy@gmail.com.
For full consideration, applications should be received by Sunday, July 26. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of climbing in the Tetons while leading a growing organization dedicated to stewarding, advocating for, and engaging the climbing community.
