JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County resident Miga Rossetti has been named the winner of the 2026 Six-Word Love Letter campaign, a storytelling project featured at AlpinFilm, presented by the Teton Climbers’ Coalition.
Her entry, posted on a photo of the striking Arizona sandstone formation The Wave, reads: “I dream I can belong here.”
Rossetti will receive $1,000 for her entry.

Entitled For the Love of the Land, this year’s AlpinFilm centered its programming on adventure, stewardship, and the future of America’s public lands.
As part of that focus, AlpinFilm invited the community to participate in the Six-Word Love Letters project—a simple, shared way to speak up for the places that move us. Participants were asked to distill their connection to a landscape into just six words and share them via postcards, text messages, or Instagram using the hashtags #LoveTheLand and #NotForSale.
The project was born from the input of Matt Daly, Executive Director of the Jackson Hole Writers, one of many Valley residents who helped shape this year’s festival.
As described on the Teton Climbers’ Coalition website:
A six-word love letter is exactly what it sounds like: six words that capture how you feel about a place you care about. It can be quiet or bold. Personal or playful. Poetic or plain. What matters is that it’s yours.
Daly was asked to judge the project from entries submitted across multiple platforms. Here are his words on the selection of the winner and the thought process behind his choices:
Winner
“I dream I can belong here.”

Commentary:
“I loved how this one resists sentimentality, expresses vulnerability, and is aspirational. I also love the plain and simple language. Nothing fancy needed to make a powerful expression of love that invites us to reflect on what it means to belong in a place.”
