JACKSON, Wyo. — As part of the 2026 AlpinFilm weekend, a new writing workshop will invite participants to explore the role of storytelling in land stewardship and advocacy. Storytelling as Stewardship is a collaborative writers workshop hosted by Jackson Hole Writers and led by teaching author Frederick Reimers.

The workshop will take place Saturday morning (January 17th) from 9–11 a.m. and is open to writers of all experience levels. Through guided discussion and writing exercises, participants will examine how clear, thoughtful storytelling can shape public understanding of place, responsibility, and care for the landscapes we recreate in.

This workshop is presented as part of AlpinFilm, a weekend dedicated to mountain storytelling, community, and conservation. By pairing film with writing, the workshop expands AlpinFilm’s focus beyond the screen and into personal reflection and advocacy.

The cost is $35 without an AlpinFilm ticket or $15 with a full AlpinFilm registration. Space is limited.

More information and registration details are available through Jackson Hole Writers at https://jhwriters.org/workshops/.
