The Teton Climbers’ Coalition closed out the 10th Annual Town Pump with a high-energy finale on August 26, capping a season with just one weather cancellation. Thirteen of 14 Pumps ran as planned—an historic high.

Champions rose from a summer of steady performances as well. Elaina Pfeffer topped the Women’s field, edging Rheya Irwin with Grace Hatch third. Caleb Hunger led the Men’s division, just ahead of Axel Restuccia, with Seth Weinert taking third. In the Youth division, Silas Johnston took the title with Otto Weinert as runner-up.

Team titles followed suit. Rocks Are Snow Too—Tom Licata, Alex Wells, Conor McCullough, Ben Boesel—claimed Men’s Team honors, with Rocky Mountain Rhinos—Trevor Bloom, Colin Binko, Evan Matthews, Anthony Gulla, Stephen Shrek—as runners-up. In the Coed Team division, Fake News and Red Tape—Hannah Haberman, Dante, Olive Graykowski—took the crown, with Flash Force—River Ryan, Bryson, Zoe Salazar, Henry—finishing second. Team Calloway, an all-family affair led by father Ralph, took third.

A festive finale on Aug. 26 delivered a fitting cap to the season. Climbing to a musical track laid down by DJ Echo while enjoying a BBQ provided by the Idaho contingent, the comp-style showdown featured 10 fresh problems designed by chief route-setter Chris Owen, whose coordination and expertise kept the climbing fair, progressive, and engaging all summer long.

Presented by Teton Mountaineering, this season’s Pump was made possible by Four Pines Physical Therapy, Arc’teryx and The American Alpine Club’s Grand Teton Climbers’ Ranch (AAC). Additional support was provided by JH Contracting; Grand Teton Floor and Window Coverings; Spackman and Associates; Jackson Hole Mountain Guides; Exum; JTec; Snake River Brewing; Hotel Terra; Advanced Dermatology; and Hole Ortho.

Raffle prizes were supplied throughout the season by Beal Ropes; Snake River Roasting; La Sportiva; Evolv; Zamberlan; and VIM. Final championship prize packages were provided by Black Diamond.
None of it would have been possible without a regular contingent of climbers who showed up throughout the season.

A first-year volunteer crew—Anthony Gulla, Zoe Salazar, Jerod Pfeffer, Hanna Merzbach, Rheya Irwin, and River Ryan—made the Pump more dynamic, inclusive, and fun for climbers of all ages and abilities, while a youth team from Teton Valley, Idaho, set some sort of record by traveling over the Pass for every single Pump. And for the first time, thanks in part to DayHike, six Pumps featured live DJs—DJ Echo, DJ Cheyenne, and DJ Lauren Chase—amplifying the good vibes at the Boulder Park.

Because of our sponsors, partners and participants, the Town Pump remains Jackson’s summer gathering place for climbing, connection, and community. Thanks for helping us deliver a consistent, welcoming series and a finale worthy of the 10-year mark.
