As reported by Wyoming Public Radio, The Women’s G As reported by Wyoming Public Radio, The Women’s Grand Scholarship Fund will ensure that the Women’s Grand Scholarship—a needs-based, all-women, fully guided ascent of the Grand Teton—continues every year in perpetuity. Want to climb the Grand this summer but unsure of Want to climb the Grand this summer but unsure of what to expect? Our new, two-part SCI course, "Climbing the Grand," is just for you. The two-part course, which will be offered February 10 and February 24, focus on the real-world variables one might encounter during a mid-summer, snow-free ascent of the Owen-Spalding Route or the Upper Exum Ridge. Both sessions run from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Rec Center Climbing Gym and are taught by certified guides from Exum Mountain Guides and Jackson Hole Mountain Guides. This past weekend, the TCC's annual AlpinFilm Fest This past weekend, the TCC's annual AlpinFilm Festival honored two films for cinematic excellence. A Life Outside, Mat Hame's documentary about Teton pioneer Paul Petzoldt, received the festival's People’s Choice Award during its sold-out world premiere. Directed by Matt Groom and Nick Rose, Climbing Never Die chronicles Groom's journey into war-torn Ukraine. The Reel Rock film won both the Grand Prize as well as the Jury’s Choice Award.
