We are thrilled to announce that AlpinFilm 2025 is officially open for submissions! This two-day mountain film festival, held each January in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, celebrates the best in climbing, skiing, and mountaineering films from across the globe. The festival will take place on January 17-18, 2025, at The Center for the Arts, Jackson Hole’s premier performing arts venue.
AlpinFilm is informed by Jackson Hole’s deep legacy as the epicenter of American mountaineering. The Tetons have inspired climbers and ski mountaineers to push their physical, mental, and spiritual boundaries for over a century, and that inspiration fuels the films selected for AlpinFilm. More than just a showcase of adventurous acts, the festival emphasizes storytelling, exploring why we embark on these journeys in the first place.
We are looking for:
- Mountain adventure films focusing on climbing, skiing, and mountaineering that encapsulate the alpine spirit.
- Films with strong storytelling and unique perspectives that challenge audiences’ views.
- We accept short films (< 10 minutes), medium-length films (10-30 minutes), and feature-length films.
Selected films will be promoted on the festival website with descriptions and images, and awards include the Jury’s Choice Award, People’s Choice Award, and the Grand Prize.
Submission Details:
- Submission Deadline: October 15, 2024
- All films must be in English or include English subtitles. For full technical requirements and submission guidelines, visit our FilmFreeway page.
We are committed to removing barriers to access and ensuring that all voices can be part of the festival. If you need a code to void the entry fee, please reach out to us at alpinfilm@tetonclimbers.com. All proceeds from the event support the work of The Teton Climbers’ Coalition, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and stewarding the Teton climbing community.
We can’t wait to see your stories on screen!
