2023 marks the centennial of the first known female ascent of the Grand Teton by Eleanor Davis on August 27, 1923.
With spring in the air, The Teton Climbers’ Coalition is thrilled to announce it is partnering with Women in the Tetons and Exum Mountain Guides to offer the “Grand” Scholarship to celebrate the centennial.
The Grand Scholarship will support one local woman to participate in an all-female climb of the Grand Teton this summer. The climb will take place on the centennial from August 24-28, 2023 and include climbing school, a 2-day climb to the summit with a night of camping at Exum’s high camp, and evening events throughout the 4 days in the Tetons.
The deadline for the Grand Scholarship application is April 30th, 2023.
